Travel assistance insurance has a territorial scope of the Whole World excluding the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria. Bulgaria and the territory of the country of which the insured is a citizen if he is a foreigner. The territorial scope is divided into two:
-Worldwide except USA and Canada
-The whole world incl. USA and Canada
The validity of the insurance is from 1 day to 365 days, depending on the period of stay.
The amount of the insurance premium is determined according to the insurance company's tariff, depending on the chosen limit of liability for medical expenses, the type of coverage chosen, the duration and purpose of the trip, the age of the insured person.
Basic cover - includes cover for:
-Medical expenses due to an accident or acute illness including emergency dental expenses;
-Repatriation costs - in order to continue treatment;
-Transportation of remains;
-Repatriation of a minor;
-Costs of a stay in a hotel for a minor;
-Burial abroad;
Additional coatingswhich can be selected and added to the basic cover after payment of an additional premium.
-death by accident occurring abroad;
-rescue costs;
-permanent loss of earning capacity from an accident abroad;
-day's allowance for sick leave
-legal aid
-loss of baggage and documents - includes cover for damage, theft or loss of personal documents; delayed arrival of baggage; loss of baggage; search for baggage
